When Thomas Kennedy first noticed reddish-brown stains on his kitchen wall, he thought nothing of it and wiped them off, but the mystery splotches soon reappeared.
Growing concerned, Mr Kennedy, of suburban Oklahoma City, contacted police who confirmed his worst fears straight out of a Stephen King novel: his walls were oozing blood.
The spine-chilling incident took place in late May at Fairfax Apartments in Midwest City, Oklahoma, where Thomas Kennedy lives with his wife and children.

Kennedy said his young son first noticed the red streaks on the wall beneath a spice rack.
‘I got a sponge and I wiped it. Soon as I wiped it, it started coming down again,’ he told the stationKOCO.
Kennedy then contacted the local police department. As soon as officers entered his home and took a look at the stains, they concluded that they had the appearance of blood
The officers then went upstairs and discovered his neighbor had died.
Mr Kennedy said police informed him it looked like the neighbor had fallen and cracked his head.
In the wake of the grisly discovery, a biohazard team was called in to remove parts of Kennedy's contaminated walls and ceiling and clean the area.
Kennedy and his family have been relocated to a different unit in the apartment complex.
The medical examiner's office has concluded that the unnamed neighbor died of natural causes, and the Midwest City police have closed the case.
