A man has been found guilty of kidnapping a toddler and making child porn.
A court in California heard how Shawn McCormack, 31, of Colorado Springs, US, befriended a couple and stayed overnight at their place numerous times.
But during the night, McCormack crept out of the house with the toddler and went to a nearby hotel where he recorded sexual abuse, say prosecutors.
The alarm was raised when an undercover officer received the material online.
Agents tracing McCormack identified the date, time and hotel room via adverts that were playing on the TV in the background of the videos.
They managed to find out the only time two ads were broadcast together on March 28, 2009, in the area of Bakersfield.
He will be sentenced in July and could spend up to 30 years in jail.
